Online Gaming Not Just For Kids

February 14th, 2010 Jeff Stevens No comments

Many people think of online poker and other gambling when they hear somebody mention online gaming. Yes, casino and poker sites are increasing in popularity, but online games encompass so much more than Texas Hold Em and 5 card draw. Adventure games, strategy games, shooter games and fantasy games are also part of the online game genre. People from all over the world can play each other in such games no matter their age, sex or how much money they make. World of Warcraft is one game in particular that attracts new gamers every day.

Online gaming is not limited to any one game or type of game. The phrase actually refers to a technology that brings people together on a network, most commonly the internet, and allows them to play in the same place even if they are separated by thousands of miles. Even traditional card games like hearts and spades can be played by people on different ends of the globe.

The big rage today is MMOGs. This acronym stands for massively multiplayer online games and covers all kinds of game genres. World of Warcraft, often referred to as WoW, is the market leader with by far the greatest number of subscribers. This game is set in a fantasy universe and allows users to play roles in that universe while interacting with others who are also playing different roles.

Personal computers are not the only way to participate in MMOGs. Video game systems now come with the ability to access the internet and provide users with expanded gaming options.
The number of games just waiting to be played is enormous. First person shooter games bring players into a scene where they must kill the enemy before the enemy can get to them. In strategy games players must user their thinking powers to successfully be king and rule an empire, or they can find themselves in other circumstances. Sports games are popular and cover any sport you can think of including baseball, basketball, golf, boxing and football.

The game itself is the main draw at first. But the reason people want to stay is the sense of friendship with other users. Players get to know other players and, even though they are not in the same room, they feel as though they are.

WoW PvP Guide – WoW PvP Tips For A Successful Arena Gameplay

February 5th, 2010 Jeremy Musterman No comments

A WoW PvP guide was my friend when I decided to start this part of World of Warcraft content. Indeed, I got bored of raiding and instances and I wanted to try something new. Losing 82 matches from 100 wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. My team mates kicked me calling me names. However, this WoW PvP guide really showed me the path for becoming a top arena player. Therefore, I’m going to share a few tips here.

1. The first thing to know about WoW PvP arena is that no matter how good you are, it’s always the team that matters. Individually, all the players in a team might have exceptional PvP skills but the team migh suck due to a lack of team work. So, don’t leave a team just after 5-6 matches. Give it a little time, so that you and your team mate would learn to play as a team.

2. The equipment has a crucial role for a player’s success in arena. So, make sure you build up as much resilience, critical chance and attack power or spell power, cutting off the PvE stats like expertise, hit rating or haste rating. Also the talent build you’re using must be PvP oriented. This WoW PvP guide has taught me though, everything I needed to know on these aspects, concerning my class.

3. Arena skirmish games are a good way to hone your WoW PvP skills. This way you’ll be able to understand your role better in any team. Winning a skirmish match is not important as you won’t lose any points. Your goal in skirmishes is to play your part in any team as good as possible. Also, by getting involved in many skirmish games or duels, you’ll become aware about all the other classes spells and abilities and this way you’ll learn how to manage your cooldowns better in any fight.

There are just a few tips for beginners. However, if you want to become a top class arena player or if you’re just can’t get rid of the lousy 1100 arena rating, I can only recommend this WoW PvP guide that I’ve been using. It worked 100% for me and I’m sure it will help you a lot. Besides, it’s risk free.

Here’s the WoW PvP Guide I’ve been speaking about. Also, you can find more info on this WoW PvP Guide, here.

Is the Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide Any Good?

January 25th, 2010 Travis Jenkins No comments

Dugi’s Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide is a top notch guide for WOW, which provides you the ability to level fast, get lots of gold, and improve your PVP abilities.

This article reviews the Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide and takes a closer look at the features of the guide to help you decide whether this guide is right for you.

We will first examine the benefits of this guide, which are listed below.

*Being an in-game guide, the content is available on a screen within the game window, meaning you won’t have to switch back and forth between the game screen and the guide.

*A talent guide is included along with the primary guide.

*Quests for each class are also included in the guide.

*An instance guide is available for level 60-80 instances.

*The guide is printable, although this feature is probably unnecessary for most players as the full guide is included in the game screen.

*All leveling is done through quests, so there is no need to engage in endless grinding.

*PVP tactics are included as part of an additional guide. *A gold guide is also included, with techniques to make up to 500 gold per hour.

*An in-game arrow points you to the next location you need to go to, and includes the distance to target.

To be objective, we also list some of the things we didn’t like so much.

*There were a handful of bugs we found.

*Some of the explanations and instructions given in the guide were not very clear. For players who have a general familiarity with the game, this should not be much of an issue. Newbies, however, may find some parts confusing.

The Ultimate WOW Guide is clearly superior when compared to the older guides which were mostly provided as ebooks. Having an in-game guide that provides waypoints and arrows to next quest locations will speed up your leveling by a huge margin. All things considered, we consider this guide to be a welcome addition that should be appreciated by fans of the game who are interested in turbo-charging their leveling.

Gold Farming Guide for World of Warcraft

January 24th, 2010 Travis Jenkins No comments

This gold farming guide is meant to provide you with a list of ideal locations to pursue your gold farming, according to character level.

Despite what many people think, gold farming is not an activity that should be restricted to high level characters. It might be true that at higher levels, you will average more gold per hour, but sometimes low level characters need a way to make some quick gold to buy some much needed upgrades. It is therefore a good idea for any character, regardless of level, to consider gold farming as a means of acquiring gold.

Listed below are some popular gold farming spots.

Player Levels 12 – 20

Westfall – Coordinates: Around 32, 33 – Kill Defias Trappers for linen cloth. The good thing about this location is that the Defias here spawn much faster than elsewhere, so you can stay in one spot and keep killing mobs. Sell the linen cloth you pick up at the auction houses for some quick gold.

Skinning, Mining, and Herbalism – Until your character reaches higher levels, these professions will net you some good gold, so consider picking them up even if they don’t initially make sense for your character. If you want to change professions, you can always do that later.Whenever you want extra gold, devote an hour to plow through Elwynn Forest, and you should be able to gather enough herbs or mine enough gold to make some nice gold at the auction houses.

Levels 40 – 60

Stranglethorn Vale – Coordinates: 44, 45 – Go to Crystalvein Mines and take down the mobs there. The drops are generally quite good and can be sold to vendors.

Tanaris – Coordinates: Around 72, 44 – Head over to Lost Rigger Cove, kill the pirates there for silk and mageweave.

Levels 60 – 80

Winterspring – Coordinates: Around 52, 43 – The mobs near the lake drop decent silver and items you can sell.

Felwood – Coordinates: Around 41, 20 – Go to Jadefire Run, where you will find lots of mobs. The main source of gold here is the runecloth they drop, which can be sold for some good gold.

Eastern Plaguelands – Coordinates: 28, 85 – Mossflayer Zombies are what you should target here. They die pretty quickly, and drop a good amount of runecloth.

This gold farming guide will get you started with some good locations for gold farming, but if you are really serious, you may want to consider more full blown guides with a list of many more locations.

Visit the following Gold Farming Guide page for more tips on farming for gold and recommended gold guides.

The Best WoW Guides

January 24th, 2010 Travis Jenkins No comments

Today’s Best WOW guides differ greatly from the first guides that were available for World of Warcraft many years ago. Not long ago, guides were provided in the form of physical books or ebooks, which made it necessary for players to constantly switch back and forth between the game and the guide, slowing down progress greatly and in many ways defeating the purpose of the guide.

The latest WOW game guides are complete, “in-game” guides. What is an “in-game” guide? Basically, it means the guide is delivered inside the game window, eliminating the need to switch screens in order to read instructions. Many guides today also include other help such as map waypoints and arrows that point to the next quest location. Players who use these guides are now able to level at speeds that were not possible before the advent on in-game guides.

Upon doing some testing, we found that 2 guides proved to be much better than the rest, and we sill discuss these guides in detail on this page.

The first guide we recommend is Zygor’s Guide, an in-game guide delivered through a window that lists an optimized quest path to follow, allowing you to complete the maximum number of quests in the least amount of time. As an added convenience, the window tracks your quest progress automatically. Also included in this guide is an arrow that points to the location you need to go to next. We suggest you purchase the largest bags you can afford since the quest path can often keep you away from town for extended periods. When you return to town, you will typically have 4-5 quests to turn in.

The second guide on our recommended list is Dugi’s Ultimate WOW guide. In some ways it is very similar to Zygor’s guide, and includes many of the same features such as the optimized questing path displayed in a window. Dugi’s guide also has the in-game arrow directing you to the next spot. The guide includes some nice extras as well, such as a gold and pvp guide, however, we did find the guide to have some bugs compared to the Zygor guide.

So should you use an in-game guide? Much of it is a personal preference. It is possible to do well in the game without a guide, but using a good guide removes a lot of the frustrations faced by many players, such as not knowing where to go for a certain quest, and not knowing where to find certain items or mobs. In many ways, using a good guide enhances the game, making gameplay a smoother experience. We also found that using these guides allowed us to level characters about twice as fast as we would have on our own.

Do you know where to go to cook? Well what you do is go to your campfire capability tool under your spell book. You have to be around fire. If you are not around fire then you need to create it. Before you can open the book though or the campfire page, you need to do the cooking training. Then you are set to go.

Such as in the Ironforge realm, you can start to improve your cooking skills. This is where everyone starts. Here you cook under the most basic trainer. If you want more to do then once you conquer the skills needed there, you can move onto then ext level.

With WOW cooking the next level is known as the horde level. Here there is a different trainer that you can learn from. This creature is known as Orgimmer. Here you buy wood and other things such as eggs and cook away. You can even search for the expert cookbook when you fly away.

The next level which is the expert level will help you to get past seventy five where your cooking skills are concerned. If you want to get over from a hundred you can do that as well in the Journeyman level as you get the cookbook. Become a master at cooking. Enjoy the cooking frenzy jsut as others have. Even if you do not like cooking you will love this action. THere is fun for everyone when it comes to WOW cooking.

Gamers who know the intricacies of WoW cooking have an advantage when they are working through the levels. Using the World of Warcraft cooking guide, you will find out everything you need to start cooking today!

Horde Leveling Guide – Leveling Tips For Horde Players

November 23rd, 2009 Mark M. Fulke No comments

A Horde leveling guide can be very helpful if you are looking for fast ways to get to the top of World of Warcraft, on the Horde side, of course. The one I’ve been using not only that it provided me with the best leveling paths for all three expansions, it also showed me quite a few tips and tricks to increase my leveling speed.

So, in this article, I’m going share a few of the tips this excellent Horde leveling guide has taught me, for questing and grinding.

Horde Leveling Guide – Tips For Quests

1. Never do quests that have a higher level than your character unless you are 100% sure that you can finish them fast.

2. It’s best to finish a high number of quests at one time and only after to run back to the NPCs and turn them all in. This will save you a lot of time.

3. Don’t waste your time with elite quests. These usually require help, and you will lose time looking for it especially if you are on a server with a low player population.

Horde Leveling Guide – Grinding Tips

1. Heirloom items are very important if you are leveling a character not just for grinding but for questing as well.

2. If you’re grinding for XP, try always grind on humanoid mobs. They usually have a nice loot table as well and you will make nice cash.

3. Use AoE and kill as many mobs as you can at one time. However try not dying at all, because you will lose time and XP, of course.

These tips should help anyone improve their leveling progress. However, as the Horde leveling guide I’ve been using has an excellent leveling path, I suggest that any horde player should at least take a look at it. After all, it’s risk free.

This is the Horde Leveling Guide I’ve been talking about, and here is a place where you can find more info about this excellent Horde Leveling Guide if you want.

Honest Review of the WoW Secret Gold Guide by Hayden Hawke

November 23rd, 2009 Rick Hanson No comments

It’s very common for World of Warcraft players, including myself, to have a hard time making gold. The WoW Secret Gold Guide by Hayden Hawke changed this for me and my characters. This guide is fairly new guide to hit the market and you can tell because the tactics are up to date and current with the most recent release of the game. Any guide for making gold in Warcraft will have it’s fair share of questions as to whether it works or not.

The WoW Secret Gold Guide is 100% filled with tip and tactics that will not get an account banned from WoW. There is absolutely nothing in this guide that would get Blizzard’s attention if you started doing it. Underhanded and shady tricks are often passed along by free and paid gold guide, many of which would get an account banned without a second thought. Is losing your entire WoW account worth it for some extra gold, even if it’s a few thousand extra? For me, no. That’s a big reason I like this guide. Losing my WoW account is no longer a worry as I can pick any of the tips included in the guide to start making tons of gold.

Secondly, this is not a high-end characters only gold guide. Any player at any level can use the WoW Secret Gold Guide to start making gold Unlike this guide,a lot of guides cater to players who are already level 50 or higher. Leveling up early on can easily be combined with some of the tips from the guide to get a nice flow of gold started.. Is a level- character going to be farmng 400 gold an hour right at the beginning? I don’t think so. On the other hand, a low level player can start making enough gold that when they reach level 30 they can get a mount without going broke.

Are the tips and tricks easy to follow and do they work is another question people ask. The WoW Secret Gold Guide is full of gold making methods that not only work, but work efficiently. Whereas other guides suggest having a gold making build, this guide and it’s tips do not make players make that choice. You can easily do both with a solid build. Each gold farming method in the guide is usually accompanied by a very clear map and in-game coordinates.

As an example, one particular technique involves farming a certain herb and selling it at the auction house. Hayden helpfully provides a map with a path on it to make gathering the herb very easy. In addition, he also provides a good idea of how much what you’ve just spent time farming should retail for at the AH. If we keep going with the herb example from before, those herbs might be worth 250 all total, assuming each is worth 50 a stack and you have 5 stacks. Now if the AH has those stacks going for 30 gold each, then you’ve got a decision to make. Making gold in World of Warcraft becomes very simple once you use the tips in the WoW Secret Gold Guide to maximize your returns from selling in the Auction House.

Information provided in the WoW Secret Gold Guide is above and beyond just about every other gold making guide I’ve found, whether they are paid or free. This is the first guide that I felt like I actually got my money’s worth based on the new ways to make gold I picked up from the guide. Using Hayden’s WoW Secret Gold guide, I’ve had newfound success in farming gold in Warcraft and I also have a better understanding on how to have some of my alternate characters ready to make gold from the start.

A Level 80 WoW Mage Leveling Spec

November 18th, 2009 Mike Thomas No comments

Creating a good WoW Mage Leveling Spec is dependent on having a build that can do a lot of damage and attack often.Making sure there is very little down time between battles is an ideal situationIf there is too much down time, then either damage is being taken or too much mana is being used to take out mobs.

Any good WoW Mage Leveling spec starts with first knowing the types of spells that a mage in World of Warcraft has at their disposal. One of the primary spell trees is the fire spell tree. The fire tree spells are primarily designed for doing fire based damage on targets. The spells in the frost tree are the next tree of spells for a mage. Frost spells lack the damage of fire spells, but are usefull for slowing down targets. The final tree of spells for mages is the arcane tree. While the damage for arcane spells is not the main focus, they are helpful for making other spells more powerful.

The best WoW Mage Leveling spec focus on the fire tree of spells for the most part.Fire spells are superior to frost and arcane spells in terms of how much damage they due per a second. With higher damage per second, enemies typically die faster. The faster enemies die, the less chance there is the player takes damage. Less player damage equals less time healing or making the trip back from the graveyard. In short, more damage is a good thing overall.

While choosing the frost spells provides some enemy debuffs such as slowing or stopping movement, a mage fire talent build can quickly incinerate any opposition. Besides, a dead enemy deals less damage than a slowed one any day. In the end, killing an enemy quickly is the preferred method of leveling fast

Another important part of any WoW Mage Leveling spec is power that make attack spells even more potent Spells like Ignite and Impact alone are not real strong, but if they are combined with powerful spells like Blast Wave or Flamestrike, they inflict additional damage and can also stun enemies.Another good example is Flame Throwing which gives the mage additional range on fire spells.

Alliance Leveling Guide: Do YOU Toss Money to Blizzard Like They Were a Stripper?

November 2nd, 2009 Christopher Beachum No comments

Wow is quite an addicting game. Really addicting… anyways if you are reading this you are either A. Looking for an alliance leveling guide to speed up your leveling or B. Sick of wasting your Blizzard stripper money on poorly made alliance leveling guides that couldn’t teach you to level your way out of a wet paper bag. Some times the truth could be hard to swallow. So unless you spit, your going to have to invenst your time and your money in an alliance leveling guide. Straight to the facts shall we?

Polls taken from my servers and some of my friends servers (Gorefiend, Lothar, Aerie Peak, and Ner’zhul) It will take these players to level their alts around one month in time in game. Thinking about this you are at your computer for ONE FULL MONTH raising this alt… There are far better things to be doing like Arena’s and raiding. Starting to see why you should be optimizing your leveling time? I mean unless you like forking over your cash to blizzard to take forever in a day leveling.

I was in you shoes a while ago and decided it was time to buy an alliance leveling guide. I was really worried about it to. Since there were scams, poor guides, etc. looming out there. Go figure what I found time and time again… After being robbed a couple times I found out a few guide lines to buying wow leveling guides. First of all the sites that show up in Google on the far right and top are your best bet. These people have to have a legit product or it would violate their advertisement ToS with Google. The next spot I looked was the forums. There are a lot of people posting about these guides. Why they bought em, do they recommend them, raving, ranting, etc. O’ yea and the most important. ONLY BUY A GUIDE THAT OFFERS FREE UPDATES. Trust me, WoW patches often so should your alliance leveling guide. Now, what guide ended up satisfying me?

Well since this is my article I would like to shamelessly plug that I purchased the Ultimate Wow Guide. To be honest, I avoided this guide(s) for the longest time due to the price, but after looking back at it i spend more then the price of this guide(s) in other guides just to throw my money into some piece-o-poop ebook. It has pretty much weekly updates, includes auction house guide, daily guide, gold guide, pvp, and pve. A complete package! Take my advice if you read this far, try the 1-20 alliance leveling guide free trial.

Don’t matter the outcome wither you listen to me or not we both are playing the same game. Just some people find questhelper to be so last year and like to use real addons and guides to level. Ponder on that next time you check your /played time.

Immediately visit Ultimate WoW Guide to do the 1-20 alliance leveling guide
