Need For Speed Most Wanted is a racing game where you get to drive top of the range cars and win races. This is the first game to feature day time play in the Need For Speed games. This element makes it more interesting and challenging.

Imagine driving behind the wheel of some of your favourite cars. In this installation, the game takes you on a new journey. Although the plot and story line could do with a bit more oomph, the driving experience is amazing. It is an amusement type game set in streets filled with industrial buildings and graffiti.

What I loved about this game is that the engine noises are very realistic. You can have a lot of fun making engine noises that are louder than other games. If you like a challenge and want a fast paced driving game then this is it. Getting used to driving the cars can be tricky at first, but you soon get the hang of things.

There are many street cars that you can choose from and more become available throughout the game. This game has been brought out on different systems including, PlayStation 2, PC, Wii and Xbox 360. As a driver you will be driving at top speeds down different streets.

The game introduces a new way of driving against bad guys and cops. With a story that is a little shallow at times it still provides great game play. If you are a lover of car games then you have to try out Need For Speed Most Wanted.

The story begins on an ordinary Saturday morning. This part is narrated to introduce the story to newcomers. It then goes on to explain a story of revenge and restoring order. The evil guys, Razor and the neighborhood police that meanly keys your vehicle at the start of the game are irritating and evil enough to bother you.

This story is not very deep and has been done before. However if you like challenging racing games then you will want to experience this game for the sheer thrill of it. The graphics are one of the best elements of this game as they are very clear. Obviously it depends on what game console you are playing on as to what the graphics will be like. The Xbox is probably one of the best game systems to play this on.

The graphics are fairly realistic and the game provides great game play. This is one of my favourite games for many reasons. I love the fun element to this game and the way there are so many cars to choose from. Although the initial story is not very strong it does not matter because game playing is great. If you love driving games then you will most probably love this addition to Need For Speed.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to be Released in the Summer

So Sega have announced that a new Sonic game, a direct sequel to the Mega Drive/Genesis games that will work on the same principles of fun, speed and 2D gameplay. A whole generation of gaming was defined by these classics, and they achieved legendary status because of it.

Starting life back in the late 80s/early 90s on the Sega Master System Sonic became the mascot for the company and their subsequent games consoles, most famously on the Mega Drive. The games on the Master System set up the formula for future releases, and while graphically very simple they were still fun. Then came the Mega Drive/Genesis, and Sonic 1 was an absolute revelation. It looked great and played well, and was very very fast! Sonic 2 improved on the formula further, with new moves, bigger levels and even better graphics. By the time Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles came out in 1994, the Mega Drive was reaching the end of its lifespan. However, the development team were still pushing the system to its limits, and created “Lock on” technology for the Sonic and Knuckles game, which meant that you could play the old games like Sonic 2 in a completely different way with new characters. And when you locked on Sonic 3 you had a new, massive game that was Sonic 3 then Sonic and Knuckles, with new bosses, and new level structures.

They made Sonic into 3D after the Mega Drive. On systems like the Dreamcast all the way up to the latest consoles, however these games got very poor reviews, and did not at all live up to expectations, leaving a lot of people disappointed. After the launch title for the PS3 “Sonic the Hedgehog” changed things completely, putting Sonic on earth and making it into a role playing game, many had lost hope of ever seeing a good Sonic game again. It was always seen that the Sonic Mega Drive games were the best and that they would never be beaten.

But now Sonic 4 is coming out and is going “back to basics” of the classic Sonic games, with a 2D interface, all of the old fast and fun gameplay and the traditional Sonic music. The twist is that the game will be in HD, which will look great.

Sonic 4 will be out in the summer as a download on all the next generation consoles. The game will be episodic, meaning there are infinite numbers that could be released. It is great that its coming out now because there will be a whole generation of children who don’t know Sonic, and this will introduce them to the old mascot on their spanking new systems. The release of “Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection” with all of the Sonic games included on PS3 and Xbox are giving them a slight introduction ahead of the new game being released.

But for anyone who used to play Sonic back in the 90s, it is a very exciting prospect to see a new game on the horizon!

I always used to buy any video games that I wanted to play. I never even considered the idea of using an online video game rental service, even though I’ve been renting DVD movies online for several years now. But games are expensive and I don’t have the money to spend on them like I used to. As I look through my game collection, I realize that I have wasted a lot of money on games that have barely been played and some that will probably never be played again. If you have done any research, you will kknow that console systems are taking over the PC. The PC, although fast and capable, is not the preferred way to play video games today. Why exactly is this? An important reason that games are better on a console than a PC is that it is easier to play with another person on a console versus a PC.
