Mass Effect 2 Xbox 360

February 18th, 2010 Peter White No comments

Back in 2008 BioWare introduced us to an action game mixed with RPG elements and gave it the name Mass Effect. Now in 2010 BioWare have released its successor and the second part of the planned trilogy: Mass Effect 2. This sequel is vastly improved on over the original game. Every detail from game play mechanics to user interface has been refined and enhanced while the weakest parts of the original have been removed altogether. No more vehicle sections or those long tedious elevator rides. In making the game more focused weapon specialisation and the inventory system have been removed and replaced with weapon lockers and pre-mission load outs for your troops. Mass Effect 2 is available now on both the Xbox 360 and PC DVD.

Story & Consequences – The events of Mass Effect 2 take place a few years after the conclusion to Mass Effect, 200 years on from our own timeline. The main plot is that human colonies on the outskirts of space have begun to disappear and the main character Commander Yukiko Shepard joins up with the Cerberus organisation to investigate into suspicions that the Reapers are somehow involved. One thing I personally like is that if you have kept your save game from the original Mass Effect then all the choices you made from it are taken into account for the sequel. Did you execute a criminal or let them live in the original? Will you rescue someone at cost to yourself or let them perish? These choices do have consequences and the conversation system in the new game is as impressive as it was in the original Mass Effect. These ponderous questions flesh out the campaign and can have you having to make some hard choices as well as leave you thinking for a bit before making your decisions. Conversations are not the only choice making method; your actions develop the story, pushing someone out of harms way, or scaring an innocent will have effects on your personality and how you are perceived. Mass Effect 2 Special Edition is generally well-paced with much of the game revolving around you recruiting a team to tackle the threat of the Reapers. Of course each new recruit will need you to solve their individual problem before they join up with you. In the first game you automatically had your elite squad at the start. These missions are very well made and each one is unique so you do not feel as though you are grinding out missions and you feel a sense of accomplishment and involvement in the story, this is in part thanks to the wonderful cinematics on display.

Gameplay Effect – Mass Effect 2 has undergone more refinement in the skills and special abilities department. BioWare have removed the weapon specialisation and lowered the amount of weaponry and armour at your disposal. This gives you less items to fumble with and less time picking what you need and more time actually playing. In the first game your weapons never ran out of lead, unlimited ammunition. Most players would concentrate on one or two weapons and put all their skill points into making the weapons better and forgo all the other weapons choices, making them redundant and useless. In Mass Effect 2 you will need to make use of different weapons at different times and you will be reliant on how much ammunition you have. Ammo can now be taken from defeated aggressors to replenish your stock. This method will be familiar top anyone to have played a first person shooter game in the past 20 years. Another element taken from those games is the new health gauge which regenerates over time when you are hidden behind cover. Combined with the new ammo system this makes gun battles more intense and immersive without the repetitiveness of the combat from the first game. Now when you aim and fire at an enemy you will hit them(if your own skill is good enough) In the previous game there would be a check on your skill with the weapon and the factoring of other statistics to see weather or not you hit your target, even if you were point blank you could still miss. You can upgrade your weaponry and armour by exploring planets for resources. This is done via your ship, the SSV Normandy SR-2, which is fully controllable and allows you to scan unexplored worlds for these resources. The ship itself can be upgraded too.

Mass Effect 2 features amazingly detailed worlds filled with life. Amazing original creatures and characters; all complete with a full back story and a purpose of being. This is also true of your elite squad; each one that you hire has an in-depth back story and purpose. They converse with each other just as the populations of the worlds do, they discuss problems and they talk about you and your actions. The worlds feel like they are truly alive and you will become engrossed in this highly interactive universe.

BioWare have been creating RPG’s since the 1990’s and have produced some of the industries finest games in this genre. This wealth of experience is on show in Mass Effect 2 as they have refined and improved every facet of the original, from top to bottom. The fat has been cut and we are left with the knowledge that Mass Effect 2 Special Edition is a wonderfully crafted game and a must have for your collection.

Warhammer Online Gold Guide – Tips For Gold Making In WAR

February 8th, 2010 Tanija Fabri No comments

By using a Warhammer Online gold guide you can make sure that everything that can be bought in the game, will be yours. Not everyone has the time or the patience to attend raids all the time just for the chance to win better items, that’s why by learning to make your own gold, you can buy the best items you can instantly. Here are a few tips to start you off on making gold in WAR.

1. When going out to farm, you need to pick the right type of monsters to kill. These will have to be the humanoid ones. They have the richest loot tables and also bigger chances to drop valuable items. The trick here is to kill a lot of them so that you will make money from simply selling many cheap items and with a bit of luck, some valuable ones too. So make sure you find the right levels mobs, not too high because they are harder to kill, but not too low either.

2. All you need now is a spot with loads of mobs to kill. Public Quest locations tend to have a large concentration if mobs around them which are mostly humanoids. Some encounters can even be kept at the first stage so that you can keep farming the mobs without having to wait for the encounter to reset. Mobs around these encounters also drop a lot of stuff, so you can expect some nice money to come out of it.

3. In order to use your time the best way, it is better to go farming when your are at a higher level, at least in Tier 3. That’s when you have a much larger inventory so you won’t have to destroy anything. It is better to go sell everything every 10 minutes than destroy items.

The easiest way to track down the best mobs to kill and the best spots is with a Warhammer Online gold guide. It helped me a lot and now I can spend gold on whatever I want because I know I can always get more. If you want to have fun in the game and not worry about money, try a Warhammer Online gold guide.

This is the best Warhammer Online Gold Guide out there. For more information, read this Warhammer Online Gold Guide article.

Alliance Leveling Guide -Tricks To Level Faster

February 8th, 2010 Olev S. Musterman No comments

I’ve never tried the Horde side of the game as those characters all look too ugly to me. My toons are all in the service of light, on the Alliance side! However, until not long ago I had only one character, a rogue, involved in raiding, the rest were all 19-29 twinks for BGs, as I always found leveling boring and too long. But after 2 years playing that rogue I eventually got bored of it as well, so I wanted to play a new class. The best shortcut to the end game content that everybody wants to reach a.s.a.p. seemed to be an Alliance leveling guide. The one that I took in showed me many tips and tricks for to improve my leveling process and I’m going to share a few, here.

1. Always pick up all the quests that you encounter. In World of Warcraft, questing is the main way to level up, and you always need to focus on the bonus XP that you will get by completing a quest instead of the XP from the mobs that you kill. It’s also much better to solve only quests that are lower than you, to go through them faster and without dying 10 times on a quest.

2. This Alliance leveling guide has taught me that it’s very important to get the flying and swift flying skill as soon as possible. This will cut a huge chunk from your leveling time. You won’t be forced to kill unnecessary mobs, you will be able to go straigth to the location where your objectives are without any detours, and reach instances that are placed above the ground. Also, an epic flying mount will facilitate your resource gathering.

3. If you happen to work on leveling a character during a week-end sign up in queue for the holiday battleground. Even if your team loses, you will get nice amounts of XP when capping an objective. Interrupting your questing with the battle in Warsong Gulch or Arathi Basin will also bring a little more diversity to your leveling process and it will be less boring for you.

These are just a few tips I’ve learned from the Alliance leveling guide that I’ve been using. It’s a great leveling tool and provides you with the best questing path for Alliance. So, if you’re still struggling with your XP, I’m sure this guide will improve your progress.

Here’s the Alliance Leveling Guide that has taught me these tips. Also, here’s more info on this great Alliance Leveling Guide.

WoW PvP Guide – WoW PvP Tips For A Successful Arena Gameplay

February 5th, 2010 Jeremy Musterman No comments

A WoW PvP guide was my friend when I decided to start this part of World of Warcraft content. Indeed, I got bored of raiding and instances and I wanted to try something new. Losing 82 matches from 100 wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. My team mates kicked me calling me names. However, this WoW PvP guide really showed me the path for becoming a top arena player. Therefore, I’m going to share a few tips here.

1. The first thing to know about WoW PvP arena is that no matter how good you are, it’s always the team that matters. Individually, all the players in a team might have exceptional PvP skills but the team migh suck due to a lack of team work. So, don’t leave a team just after 5-6 matches. Give it a little time, so that you and your team mate would learn to play as a team.

2. The equipment has a crucial role for a player’s success in arena. So, make sure you build up as much resilience, critical chance and attack power or spell power, cutting off the PvE stats like expertise, hit rating or haste rating. Also the talent build you’re using must be PvP oriented. This WoW PvP guide has taught me though, everything I needed to know on these aspects, concerning my class.

3. Arena skirmish games are a good way to hone your WoW PvP skills. This way you’ll be able to understand your role better in any team. Winning a skirmish match is not important as you won’t lose any points. Your goal in skirmishes is to play your part in any team as good as possible. Also, by getting involved in many skirmish games or duels, you’ll become aware about all the other classes spells and abilities and this way you’ll learn how to manage your cooldowns better in any fight.

There are just a few tips for beginners. However, if you want to become a top class arena player or if you’re just can’t get rid of the lousy 1100 arena rating, I can only recommend this WoW PvP guide that I’ve been using. It worked 100% for me and I’m sure it will help you a lot. Besides, it’s risk free.

Here’s the WoW PvP Guide I’ve been speaking about. Also, you can find more info on this WoW PvP Guide, here.

Warhammer Online Leveling Guide – Level Without PvP

January 30th, 2010 Tanija Fabri No comments

A Warhammer Online leveling guide is the best tool for anyone to use to advance in the game quickly. Such leveling guides are something very common these days in online games, they make it easier for anyone to level up a character and just have fun in the game. In WAR, it does the same thing, only it is more useful in this particular game. Here is why.

Any online game has two parts to it, the part where you fight enemy NPCs to level up and get better items, known as PvE, and the part where you fight enemy players for land or other objectives, known as PvP. In WAR, there is plenty of PvP. In fact there are several forms of it. You have open realm versus realm fights which take place in larger areas where players of opposite factions fight for controlling keeps.

You have Open realm versus realm, or ORvR, zones where you fight the enemy for control of keeps, and then you have scenarios where you fight enemy players for various objectives on smaller areas. These two major parts, PvE and PvP, don’t usually mix, but in WAR they do. That can make it hard on some players to level up fast enough.

Not everyone wants or can be effective in PvP, that’s why it is very important for such players to be able to level up fast enough using the PvE part of the game. Which in WAR it is pretty twisted up. That’s where the Warhammer Online leveling guide comes in. Inside such a leveling guide you will find a whole route that will take you from the start to the finish of the game without having to get killed by enemy players all the time. You won’t have to rely on your faction so much to win Scenarios or take over keeps so that you can level up, you can take matter into your own hands and level up faster than anyone with a Warhammer Online leveling guide.

Thanks to the Warhammer Online leveling guide I could level up several characters without having to keep an eye out for enemy players all the time. I came to the conclusion that when ever you want to level a character easy and very fast, you should get a Warhammer Online leveling guide.

The best Warhammer Online Leveling Guide. Read this Warhammer Online Leveling Guide article.

Aion Guides – Get The Best Out Of Aion Online

January 28th, 2010 Xander Halboom No comments

Starting to use Aion guides to enhance my gameplay in Aion Online proved to be a very good idea. When I first started the game, I was lost and confused. Leveling in Aion seemed more than I could handle because I had to do a lot of grinding. Besides that, I needed money for just about anything I wanted to do. As I was standing there watching helplessly at the screen, I could see other player complaining about the same things, even very experienced ones. So I did the only thing that I could, started looking for Aion guides.

The starting area was pretty easy and exciting, just like in any other game out there. But once I was finished with that, things started to look a lot more grim. I had to play a lot of hours just to get to the next level. Quests were pretty scarce and I didn’t even know where to go for the next. On top of that, dying too many times started to make a real hole in my “wallet”. I know had to worry about running out of Kinah too. So I stopped, and started looking for some Aion guides, which was my last resort.

At first, I got an Aion leveling guide. It wasn’t hard to find one, I just found a website where there were a bunch of them reviewed and picked the recommended one. From that point on, the game started looking better for me. Following the Aion guide made me realize how important such a leveling guide is to really have fun in the game. The guide had an optimized quest path which took me through all the quests in the game, leading me step-by-step to the level cap easy and fast. Within just a few days I progressed more than I have in all the time I played before the Aion leveling guide.

Once I was closing in to the level cap, I figured it was about time to get a Kinah guide aswell. Seeing how well the leveling guide went, I was very confident that the Kinah guide won’t let me down either. So I went to the same website and picked the recommended Aion Kinah guide. Once I got it, I gave it a good read. I was amazed to find many methods and tricks I could use to make Kinah in Aion. I was expecting to find some complex scheme, but it was pretty simple. I didn’t want to go hunting for rare mobs to kill so I used two very useful methods, using the Trade Broker and the Private Stores to make Kinah. It worked very well, so well that within a couple of days I managed to double my Kinah without breaking a sweat.

Those two Aion guides made the game fun for me again. In the end that’s all that matters, having a good time in the game you like. That’s why I looked for leveling and Kinah guides, to make sure that the game will relax me. If you are having trouble with Aion Online and don’t know what to do, take my advice and look for some Aion guides.

The website I was talking about has the best Aion Guides out there. You can also find tons of free information about the game on a blog within the same Aion Guides website.

The Best WoW Guides

January 24th, 2010 Travis Jenkins No comments

Today’s Best WOW guides differ greatly from the first guides that were available for World of Warcraft many years ago. Not long ago, guides were provided in the form of physical books or ebooks, which made it necessary for players to constantly switch back and forth between the game and the guide, slowing down progress greatly and in many ways defeating the purpose of the guide.

The latest WOW game guides are complete, “in-game” guides. What is an “in-game” guide? Basically, it means the guide is delivered inside the game window, eliminating the need to switch screens in order to read instructions. Many guides today also include other help such as map waypoints and arrows that point to the next quest location. Players who use these guides are now able to level at speeds that were not possible before the advent on in-game guides.

Upon doing some testing, we found that 2 guides proved to be much better than the rest, and we sill discuss these guides in detail on this page.

The first guide we recommend is Zygor’s Guide, an in-game guide delivered through a window that lists an optimized quest path to follow, allowing you to complete the maximum number of quests in the least amount of time. As an added convenience, the window tracks your quest progress automatically. Also included in this guide is an arrow that points to the location you need to go to next. We suggest you purchase the largest bags you can afford since the quest path can often keep you away from town for extended periods. When you return to town, you will typically have 4-5 quests to turn in.

The second guide on our recommended list is Dugi’s Ultimate WOW guide. In some ways it is very similar to Zygor’s guide, and includes many of the same features such as the optimized questing path displayed in a window. Dugi’s guide also has the in-game arrow directing you to the next spot. The guide includes some nice extras as well, such as a gold and pvp guide, however, we did find the guide to have some bugs compared to the Zygor guide.

So should you use an in-game guide? Much of it is a personal preference. It is possible to do well in the game without a guide, but using a good guide removes a lot of the frustrations faced by many players, such as not knowing where to go for a certain quest, and not knowing where to find certain items or mobs. In many ways, using a good guide enhances the game, making gameplay a smoother experience. We also found that using these guides allowed us to level characters about twice as fast as we would have on our own.

LOTRO Leveling Guide – Fast Leveling With LOTRO Guides

January 20th, 2010 Tanija Fabri No comments

A LOTRO leveling guide is the perfect tool for someone to use when they can’t level up fast enough or simply want to get that out of the way quick. I learned that the hard way because when I first started to play the game, I didn’t know of any such LOTRO guides even existed. What happened after I got a leveling guide changed the way I play online games forever.

I always liked the Tolkien books and I’ve seen the Lord of the Rings trilogy many times. I also heard about the game and I kept my eye on it. Sadly I didn’t have the time to start playing when it got officially released. I wasn’t able to join the community until after an year. I didn’t think that would be a problem as people level up characters all the time. I didn’t want to play alone and I knew I would need people around me so I could ask question and such. So once I was finally free to try the game, I got a copy and so I did.

The beginning of the game was very nice. The little tutorial at the very beginning helped me get a feel for the game. It also threw me right into the story. I was very impressed with the graphics, sounds and music of the game. Once I cleared the starter zone, which took me several days, I started advancing. Not long after that, problems started appearing. There were so many quests and such big areas that I didn’t know where to go and which quest to start with.

I kept going none the less hoping that things will get better. As I was trying to level up, I kept feeling like what I was doing was wrong. I was leaving a lot of stuff undone. Asking people for help didn’t really work because after a few questions, they start ignoring you. One day someone told me about a LOTRO leveling guide, he said that it would help me a lot. So I started looking for such a leveling guide to see what it was all about.

Everyone was talking about a specific LOTRO leveling guide so I just took that one as it seemed like my only option to get out of the jam I was in. Once I started using the LOTRO leveling guide, everything changed. It showed me exactly where I needed to go, how to get there and what to do once I was there. It was filled with maps that had all the steps marked on them, so it was really easy to get around it. The quests were also arranged so that I didn’t just run around randomly and complete them, I would go in one direction, do a bunch there, move to another direction and so on.

Not long after I began using the LOTRO leveling guide, I was reaching the level cap. The leveling guide was just what I needed, it made the game easier for me and also more fun. I could now make friends in the game and help others, I couldn’t make any before I was too busy asking for directions. If you need to level up fast and easy, consider using a LOTRO leveling guide.

The LOTRO Leveling Guide did all that for me and more, so in my eyes it is the best. I found it on this website along with other LOTRO Guides.
