A Mage PvP Guide is one of the best resources to use for learning not only battle basics but also what the three talent specs include. The three types are Arcane, Frost, and Fire; each harboring different abilities for the Mage that chooses to specialize in these trees. Mages have the ability to gain powers strong enough to be able to take on up to three other users at a time.

The Fire Mage – This has great mana efficiency while dealing lots of damage.

Fire Talent path

1. Fire Blast, Blast Wave, and Dragon’s Breath can be used to help finish a PVP opponent; instant cast spells

2. Combustion – delivers a slew of crits

3. Dragon’s Breath skill – Makes players lose control for a small amount of time and deals direct damage

4. Molten Fury – increases spell power, which results in increase of dps in spells

5. Fire Ball and Pyroblast – used to damage target at range

Arcane – This isn’t a common tree that many people choose to specialize in, but they know how to use mobility and resilience to accomplish their tasks. Endurance is another quality these Mages have a great deal of.

Talents of the path of Arcane

1. Magic Attunement – Amplify Magic and increases Dampen Magic

2. Arcane Focus – provides a better chance of spells being non- resistant to their armor.

3. Arcane Subtlety – Allows the armor to be penatrated by spells damage

4. High ranked Mana Shield ‘ Allows the mana shield to take less mana from yourself while being hit.

5. Arcane Slaughter – Same as the pyro blast talent build, but less cool-down and has instant spells

Frost – A commonly used build, the run away function with little mana consumption and can control mobs of enemies better. This is an extremely formidable build.

Frost mage talent specs

1. Frostbolt or Lance – instant and high spell damage to single player targets

2. Frost Channeling – minimizes downtime

3. Arctic Reach – makes your frost novas more effective with extended range

4. Ice Shards and Shatter – two talents that increase your critical strike chances

5. Ice Barrier – shields you for sixty seconds

6. Icy Veins and Cold Snap – 1-point talents you need early in the game

7. Improved Frostbolt – one of your main weapons which reduces casting time of Frostbolt spell

Being a Mage allows you to use arcane, fire and frost spells, which is the main appeal of becoming a Mage in the first place. Once they are able to learn the Weaknesses and strengths of the opposing classes of players, they are more than ready to excel against anyone they come up against. It is often one of the harder classes to master in WoW. Rising to the top is a challenge, but doable and made easier if you don’t run out of mana. Running out of mana really limits your crowd control, damage mitigation, and much more.

These guides are created by Mages who are veterans in the WoW game and have learned all their tricks of the trade through much trial and error. Not using a guide can make advancement take a lot longer and there is a lot of information in the game that you might not be able to come across easily without the guide to help you.
