Good fighting games are few and far in between. But over the years there have been four contenders who have stepped up to the plate. We will look at three of them.

Tekken 3

This game was one of my favorites on the Playstation 1 and it came out on the console in 1998. The game has a total of 21 characters and most of them need to be unlocked.

The game has some cool characters, from the elastic Eddy Gordo to the powerful Jin Kazama. Everybody has their own favorite character that is what makes the game so fun.

The characters are cool, but what the makes the game addictive is the game play. The battle engine is very complex. Not only can you attact and defend, you can also counter attack, evade, juggle, and eight step.

This is an easy game to get into but very fun to master. Plenty of new gamers will try to button mash and they will do pretty good.

Virtua Fighter 4

This game came out on the Playstation 2 and is very addictive. The best part of the game is of course the versus mode. But if you do not have anybody to play against then the Kumite will be your addiction.

The kumite is where you will fight against a wide variety of fighters. The battles are ongoing and only stop when you leave the kumite.

The thing that will keep you coming back for more in the kumite are the cool unlockables. You can unlock many items for your character that will make them look unique.

The game play of this game is very precise and button mashers will lose all the time. The graphics of this game are great, even better then Tekken 3.

Dead or Alive 3

This is by far one of the most accessible fighting games that you will come across on any gaming console. Hard core fighting gamers do not like this, because a button masher can come in and be on their level. But they still like to play it.

The game play is what will make or break a fighting game and Dead or Alive does a great job. The game is very fluid and fast paced. If you make a mistake, you will have to quickly adjust to avoid catching a flurry of attacks.

The selection of fighters is also a great, because there is a wide variety of fighters to choose from.

The common denominator of all the three fighting games is that they look good and that the game play is great and fast paced. Start playing these games and be amazed at how fun they are.

Anybody who has played good Mario games knows how addictive they are, but there have been a couple of bad games. We will review three of the bad ones.

Mario Clock

This game is a widget that you can download for the Nintendo DS. It is easy to download and start playing immediately.

The game play is actually pretty limited as you do not get to control Mario or Luigi that much. They run by themselves, you only get to jump and change the clock.

Talking about the clock, there is a big timer on the right side of the screen. It is kind of irritating and in the way.

Once you have collected 100 coins, you will turn into Luigi. This has no effect on the game play as Luigi has the same skills as his fat plumber brother.

The graphics on the other hand are surprisingly nice to look at.

Mario is Missing

This game is one of the worst in the Mario collection. If you own it, I feel sorry for you. The game starts promising. You see Mario being kidnapped and Luigi starts looking for him with Yoshi.

You are expecting a fun and grand adventure game. You see Luigi in the cool kingdom stage and the music brings back memories.

The game is a big let down. it revolves around puzzle solving and talking to people to get clues and hints about where your brother is.

The strangest part of the game is that it takes pace in a town where you wonder around with or without Yoshi.

Mario Time Machine

If you have heard of the gaming company The Software Toolworks, then you know that they are known for making bad games, like Mario is missing.

In this game you need to collect an apple and then jump into a time machine to complete your missions. The game play is pretty bad. Mario feels like he is running on a slippery slope and you can only duck when you are standing still.

There are also a couple of uninspired mini games that you will have to play. The game is boring.

Mario games are great, but there are a couple that you need to stay away from. We just looked at three of those.
