There are three major game consoles today to choose from. Often this makes it hard for when a new game comes out and it was made specifically for one gaming platform and not all three. When it’s not available for the other two consoles, after you’ve anticipated it for so long, it can become very frustrating. With certain systems like the WII, you can understand why the game may not be on the same game field. The sensors and different hand controllers, could make it tough, to be adaptable to the X-Box 360 and the Playstation 3.

Sony and Microsoft are always competing with each other, but they shouldn’t feel the need to be in competition with one another over the games they release. If new games come out for either of these kinds of platforms, than they should make them release them for both. Of course you can’t expect the game to be the same. The controllers, and certain features, can be different, but the main plot, overall game play, and the game interactions can all be the same.

X-men Origins, was one of the hottest games out there for PS3, Xbox 360, and the WII. This game goes for over $60.00. Homes throughout the land are being rocked by guitar hero. This is an ever-popular genre that people of all ages, loves. There is a new Beatles addition that will drag out every wannabe. The new “Need for Speed Shift” will be hitting all the hardcore driving enthusiasts’ homes, if it hasn’t already.

Before running to your local store to buy a new video game, it’s best to rent the ones you think you may be interested in. You can test drive it, to make sure you like it before spending over fifty dollars for a new game. While testing the games you rent, take notice to see how long it takes you to go through the levels. Check out the difficult level of the game. If you blaze through it, then it’s not worth spending the money on it if you are going to get through the entire game in a short period of time.

Of course there is the flipside. If you can’t master the controller’s basics after a rental period, than it will be too tough and you shouldn’t reconsider about purchasing the game. Some people may like the good challenge where other people might get more frustrated. You will be able to get a feel for the game before you actually buy it. Often times you know what kind of games you will like by the name, or the description of what the game is about. If you’re into shooting and target range, then chances are you will probably not be interested in the sports games. Do you know anything about Halo? Why do you think you’ll like it if you’ve never played it before? It’s going to be some war epic game like men of honor. You get the idea.

There are several website, and many retailers that will be happy to help you with your purchases. Top of the line games are often priced between $50.00 and $60.00. You may be surprised if you find the games online cheaper than that.
