If you are a beginner to gaming but would like to get into it, there are a few things you should know. One of them is which gaming consoles are the best, and how much you can expect to pay for them. Another concern is how well the graphics are compared to a PC game, as well as fluidity of play. This may seem a little complex, but it is really about how well you can play a game, and how good it’s going to be.
There happens to be three main games systems right now, the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii. Then there are the hand-held game units of the Nintendo DS and the Playstation Portable, which are at the top of the list. All of these system will run you some money to invest in, some run over a hundred dollars, while some run more than that when they are new.
Nintendo throughout its history has been an innovative company thinking outside the box, and their Wii is a prime example of this thinking. This game console is designed for group and family enjoyment even though there are some games for single players too. People get started playing by using the sensor controllers and the Wii paddle, they can exercise with the controllers or even swing their arms for the golf simulator.
This gaming is for you and of course your family if you’re not looking for graphics that are highly realistic, and you are looking for some activity while you play. This system sells for about $250, and has some nice accessories that can be bought for an additional price, such things as the steering wheel, or maybe you need the exercise mat more, many other things too.
Xbox 360 offers the gamers the kind of features they enjoy. On top of the realistic graphics, the improved controllers that fit the hand better than the old ones used to, and the Internet play is improved. Most of the Xbox older games will play on it, it just takes a patch that comes on CD or you can learn to the unit itself. The games are more available now and the Internet capabilities are much better.
You can purchase more than one version of the Xbox 360, the stripped down Arcade version without memory to the Elite version that has a whopping 120GBs, which is twice as much as the model that is considered the standard. You can buy the Xbox 360 at prices of $200.00 to $400.00, according to what model you buy. It is best though to get at least the standard with the 60GB-size hard drive with it.
For a good all around gaming system, that not only can play almost all of the old PS2 and PS1 games, but is also a blue ray DVD player, features a built in Wi-Fi, and with Linux technology, can even act as a computer connected to the television. This well makes up for lack of high demand gaming titles, and poorer online gaming experiences. It starts at $400, but for people who don’t have a computer, or a Blue Ray player, this can be a reasonable price.
All of these game systems can be purchased through numerous websites or other retail stores, that handle electronics. If you don’t have any knowledge about the game systems, then shopping online provides you a lot of quite detailed information; all the companies that make the systems have their own websites. You can of course visit a retailer near you, there the clerks can give you whatever information you need to find the right game system for you.
